Hands Down Best Cat Girl Costume Design

The look of a costume can be somewhat adorable and funny or extremely attractive. Cat Girl costumes also find a way to keep inline with the holiday traditions of the past. Cat Girl costumes are even becoming more popular with conventions and fairs such as Comiccon and Mardi Gras.

Your specific Cat Girl design and style for what your animal costume can look like is only limited by a few things: what you want your animal to visually look like, the materials you want to craft your Cat Girl outfit out of, and how much your budget will allow you to spend.

Materials you will need

- A nice pair of furry boots.
- A pair of knee-high socks.
- A nice skirt.
- A comfortable headband.
- Some furry cloth
- A Glue gun
- A pair of good Scissors
- Some soft and flexible foam.
- Permanent Marker.
- Any other decorating stuff that you might need such as: Giant hoop ear rings, bracelets, necklaces, feathers, flowers, nail polish, or Glitter..so much Glitter!

The Cat Girl Costume Process

  1. Start by measuring and cutting two ears out of your foam. Make sure that they are as close to equal sizes as possible. The size of ears you cut out is entirely dependent on how big or small you want your cat ears to be. A good starting size is about 3"wide and 2" high. You will find that this is not to terribly difficult. You will want the back of your Cat Girl ears to appear as tho they look as though they have a rundness to them.

    1. Once you get the basic ears cut out, you then cover them. Now it is time to give your ears some color. Lay your furry cloth so that covers the back of your cat ears then cut the fabric so that it covers both of the cat ears.

    2. Heat up the glue gun and get ready for the assembly. Apply small drops of glue to the back section of the foam ears and press the furry fabric onto it. Allow the glue to dry. Do this to both ears.

    3. The next step is to place the headband on your head. Use your marker to mark where you want your ears to go. Remove the headband. Place a drop of glue onto the bottom of one of the ears, and carefully press it onto the headband. Repeat with the other ear.

    4. Finally, it is time to break out the tights. Cut three small slashes in the tights at the thigh. It should look as though a cat had scratched them. Put on your top and skirt. Remember that these should somewhat match your ears and boots.

Tada! your Cat Girl costume is complete. Put it on and have a purrrfect night.

If I would dare to venture out for halloween, at least you have provided me a great costume idea. With the high cost of everything these days, doing it yourself is always an awesome way to save some money !! Thanks for the useful tips and welcome to hubpages !! Voted up and useful.
